Washing machines and driers

The product must not have any generally sensitising or irritant characteristics, components or accessories (e.g. natural rubber). In the consideration of the characteristics of washing machines, aspects addressed will include rinse results, the number of rinses, the choice of washing programmes, ease of removal and cleaning of the detergent compartment, DIY input requirement, user instructions and consumer guidance. For dryers, consideration of the device characteristics will focus inter alia on drying results, which must be good (results of TTS or similar tests required). The device must be of the condenser type, fitted with a water discharge hose. Care of the lint filter, water tank and moisture condenser must be easy and fast. The product must be provided with clear instructions on use and maintenance, instructions on the programme menu options and troubleshooting hints, in Finnish. A quality, tested drier will reduce the occurrence of lint in the room.
